Your role
As an AI Engineer, you will help build the technological core of Taloo. You will develop the intelligence and infrastructure that enable our agents to autonomously perform tasks, make decisions, process information, and collaborate reliably with people and other systems.
The challenge is not just about what AI can do. Our agents operate inside real business processes, which means they also need to be predictable, controllable, and scalable.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and improve our AI agents and the agentic workflows behind them.
- Build solutions around LLMs, tool use, structured outputs, retrieval, context, and orchestration.
- Develop evaluation and observability capabilities to systematically measure agent quality, reliability, and performance.
- Explore new models and AI techniques and rapidly translate relevant developments into working product functionality.
- Work closely with product and our FDEs to turn lessons from real customer environments into improvements to our platform.
What we're looking for
- Strong software engineering background, preferably in Python, cloud and API architectures.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI and agentic systems.
- Understanding of AI architecture, evaluation, reliability and scalability beyond prompting.
- Ability to turn experiments into robust, production-ready solutions.
- Up-to-date with AI developments and focused on real business value.
- Familiarity with the staffing industry and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
- Experience in a tech startup or scale-up is a plus.
- We're open to both freelance and permanent employment arrangements.
We're not looking for a researcher who only wants to study new models. We're looking for a strong engineer who wants to turn state-of-the-art AI into a product used by real organisations every day.
